Our Southaven Office
Our office is at 9148 Corporate Drive in Southaven, Mississippi. Southaven is in DeSoto County, just south of the Tennessee state line and close to Memphis. This puts us in the middle of the Mid-South region we have served since our founding. Murphy & Sons, Inc. was organized on June 18, 1977, and we have grown into a diverse construction company capable of handling a wide range of the industry's needs.
If you plan to visit, we suggest calling ahead so the right member of our team is available to meet with you. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Who You Can Contact
The general email address, info@murphyandsons.com, is the best place to start. You can also reach our leadership directly:
- David G. Murphy, President:gmurphy@murphyandsons.com
- Garrett Murphy, Vice President:garrett@murphyandsons.com
- Wesley Hutcheson, Vice President:whutcheson@murphyandsons.com
Our team also includes project managers, estimators, superintendents, and administrative staff. When you work with us, one of our specialists will guide you through each step of your project. You will have a single point of contact rather than a chain of handoffs.
Why Reach Out Early
Many owners wait until their plans are finished before speaking with a contractor. Contacting us earlier is often more helpful. Our one-on-one approach lets us understand your needs from the start, advise you at each stage, and help you address issues before they arise. Problems caught early cost far less in time and money than problems found during construction.
We can help at any stage, whether you have a finished set of plans or only an idea. Our services include:
- Construction management for complex projects or projects where decisions cannot all be made upfront
- Design-build, which brings design, engineering, and construction together under one point of contact
- Preconstruction planning, including strategic assessments and risk and objective reviews
- Project management, coordinating planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Special projects that need flexibility, such as renovations, expansions, and protective installations
As a general contractor, we also provide commercial and industrial construction management, site analysis, preliminary design, concrete, permits, and quality control.
Serving the Mid-South and Beyond
Our home base is Southaven, but our work is not limited to one state. We are licensed in Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Louisiana. If your commercial project is in any of these states, you are welcome to contact our Southaven office to discuss it. If your site is elsewhere, call us and we can talk through what is possible.

- Existing documents: drawings, surveys, or notes, if you have them.
